The Wild and Scenic Film Fest aims to inspire by transporting viewers around the world and close to home with breathtaking cinematography and engaging storytelling. This year's selections follow the theme "A Change of Course," weaving an intricate story of water and water conservation. Don't miss the opportunity to get out with friends and familly, meet some new people, and engage in a truly inspirational evening right here in the Kootenays!

Tickets will be available online until 11:59pm on Friday November 6th. After that time tickets will be first come, first served at the door. Doors open at 7:00pm.

Some of the films that you can expect to see include:

Delta Dawn - The Colorado River hasn’t kissed the sea in almost two decades — until the spring of 2014 when an experimental pulse of water was released into this forgotten delta. A team of river runners followed the water to witness this unprecedented restoration effort, and attempted to be the only, and potentially the last to float the Colorado River to the sea by paddleboard. With unpredictable adventure as the backdrop, filmmaker Pete McBride tells the story of Western water, a challenged Colorado River and the uplifting potential for environmental restoration via collaboration, all through his repeated experiences chasing a river to the sea.

Pride of Namibia - Namibia is home to one of the greatest wildlife recovery stories ever told. “Pride of Namibia” unviels communities committed to protecting wildlife, a nation that has enshrined conservation into its constitution, and the future of responsible travel – tourism that directly benefits the people who give wildlife freedom to roam.
