Wildsight Invermere AGM, April 1st (it's no joke)

Join us on April 1st (yes, really — fools welcome!) for the 2026 Wildsight Invermere AGM.

We’ll reflect on the work accomplished over the past year and preview the initiatives launching in 2026, from boots-on-the-ground conservation to community programs that keep this valley resilient.

Come be part of what’s next. Wild places endure because we choose to stand with them — as members, as monthly donors, as neighbours who care.

All are welcome to attend, but only members are allowed to vote. Not yet a member? Join today!

Reminder: Spring Pre-loved Clothing Market

Mark your calendars: March 26th. The fall pre-loved clothing market was such a hit, we're back by popular demand.

The Spring Pre-loved Clothes Market is a place to keep textiles out of landfill and keep good quality items in circulation in the Columbia Valley.

Just looking for something fun to do on a Thursday night? Come along, bring your friends and enjoy a night out of sustainable, unique, pre-loved fashion — good for your wardrobe, better for the planet.

A space to connect to community, enjoy a variety of clothing. Purchase a Valley Dawg or Invermere Brewing Co. beer and enjoy some good vibes. Thursday March 26th 5-8pm at the Columbia Valley Centre.
This event is part of the new Columbia Valley Shift program.

Earth Day Fair: Save the date

Do you dream of a future in the Columbia Valley that is truly sustainable - environmentally, socially, and economically? Have you been wanting to make shifts in your life and your community but don’t know where to start? There’s so much information out there and it can be easy to get overwhelmed.

This Earth Day, join Wildsight and imagine the valley you want to see in 50 years from now. Meet your neighbours, learn new skills and (most importantly) have some fun while embarking on this adventure with your community!

We’ll be celebrating and sharing the work of local superheroes who will be there in-person, offering a wide range of learning and action opportunities that will meet you where you’re at on your personal sustainability journey.

This event has two primary themes. The first being a focus on energy efficiency. How can the Columbia Valley transition to sustainable energy solutions? Join us to learn about:

  • Home retrofit options,
  • Home energy assessments,
  • Rebates and more!

Secondly, a focus on waste diversion. Sending less divertible waste to landfill. If you’re outside the organic collections region, how can you reduce organic waste at home, and in smaller spaces? Got well loved items that need repaired before replacing?

Pop-up repair corner, kid's activities, live music, light refreshments and tangible take-homes that actually help you on your sustainability journey.

This event is part of the new Columbia Valley Shift program launching in 2026.

More details still to be announced so stay tuned!
