Seniors for Climate

Calling all Climate Concerned Seniors (or any age). If you are interested in making a difference to the future for your grandchildren, or for others’ grandchildren, come join an informal group led by Wildsight board member Karen Barkley. The idea for starting this group is to identify some concrete actions we can take locally to contribute to the solutions and mitigation efforts to support a sustainable climate.

There is also an active nationwide Seniors group, Seniors for Climate, that is organizing national days of action with the goal of building a cross-Canada community of seniors to create a liveable future.

The first step is to decide to join the group; please email Karen (karenbarkley2@gmail.com) and let her know your interest. The meeting time and format will be decided by the members of the group, but hoping to have an initial get together in early February.

For parents with younger families or if you're in your 20s–40s, don't despair, you're not left out! Email us to express your interest in a Parents for Climate and/or Youth for Climate group in the Valley.
