Creston Nectar Network: Presale orders
Welcome to the Creston Nectar Network! We are a community-led initiative by Wildsight Creston Valley Branch to create a connected network of native wildflower habitat across the valley. By planting small patches, you’re helping support pollinators, strengthen biodiversity, and build a more resilient ecosystem.
We encourage you to pre-order your plants here: https://secure.wildsight.ca/civicrm/event/register?reset=1&id=742
Each presale package includes:
- 7 native pollinator plants: Woolly Sunflower, Clarkia, Threadleaf Phacelia, Coreopsis, Gaillardia, Pearly Everlasting and Roundleaf Alum
- A Pollinator Pal lawn sign
- Reserved seating at our summer Pollinator Picnic! a celebration featuring guest speakers, native plant experts and community connection
- A Digital Pollinator Kit, including:
- Pollinator monitoring sheet
- Plant guide with descriptions and photos
- Planting guide with site selection, preparation, and care tips
In an effort to keep this program accessible, we’re offering pay what you can pricing options, please choose which option works best for you:
$45: Supporter rate
Helps make participation accessible for others and supports the project
$30 : At-cost
Covers most of the cost of plants and materials
$20 : Community rate
For those who would like to participate but cost is a barrier
We encourage you to chat with your neighbours about planting too - especially if you’re located between Spectrum Farms and Schikurski Park. Creating clusters of habitat helps improve pollinator connectivity across the landscape.
Your plant package will be available at the College of the Rockies Greenhouse on two dates:
Friday May 29th between 4:30-6:30pm and Saturday, May 30th between 10:00am and 12:00pm. If neither of these days work for you and you need to make alternate accommodations please contact Rebecca: creston@wildsight.ca or 587-297-6777.
Thank you for being a pollinator pal!
Thank you for being part of this growing network! If you have any questions please contact Rebecca creston@wildsight.ca
Pollinators don’t follow straight lines, they move toward food. Together, these small planting “stepping stones” can make a big impact.
