Flowing it forward: Navigating water-based recreation & aquatic health in the Columbia Valley
Exploring water-based recreation and aquatic health in the Columbia Valley.
Join us for an engaging and educational event dedicated to raising awareness and promoting responsible stewardship of Columbia Valley’s waterways.
Whether you’re a local, a visitor, or part of the recreation community, this event offers a unique opportunity to connect with experts and explore the pressing challenges facing the Columbia Valley’s lakes, rivers and wetlands.
From whirling disease and invasive mussels to water quality concerns and increasing motorized vessel activity, our aquatic ecosystems are facing growing threats that require attention and action.
Flowing it forward will feature short presentations from professionals at the forefront of conservation and responsible recreation, as well as educational booths and demonstrations. A facilitated discussion at the end will create a space for open and meaningful dialogue between presenters and participants.
This collaborative event presented by Wildsight is designed for all those with an interest in the health and stewardship of our local water systems. If you have any questions, please contact: info@wildsight.ca
