Volunteer Oppo rtunity: Help Tackle Invasive Species in the Colum bia Valley

Join Wildsight Invermere and the East Koot enay Invasive Species Council (EKISC) on Thursd ay\, June 26 from 4:30–7:30 PM for a community weed pull at Columbia Lake! This hands-on volunte er opportunity is a great way to learn about invas ive species\, help protect local ecosystems\, and make a visible difference in the Columbia Valley.< p>

Meeting location: THE LOCAL coffeehouse at 4:30pm. We'll carpool/follow one another to the Weed Pull spot. 

Weed pull location: The road out to CL Provincial park\, in particular\, the area w here the road abuts the river.

No experience is necessar y—we'll provide all the tools\, supplies\, and gui dance. Just bring a water bottle\, sun protection\ , and your enthusiasm for caring for our local env ironment.  EKISC are providing hot dogs and snacks\, if you have dietar y restrictions\, please reply to your confirmat ion email to let us know\, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Come c onnect with fellow community members and help keep our natural spaces healthy and resilient. If you' re only able to attend for a portion of the event\ , that is completely fine\, many hands make light work.
